The medal was made in Italy and comes on a 24" continuous stainless steel chain. Comes gift boxed and with a gift bag, tissue paper and a St Elizabeth of Portugal prayer card. St Elizabth of Portugal was a Spanish princess known for her piety, kindness and great beauty. She was married to the King of Portugal. Her marriage was not always happy, but through her perseverence and attending daily Mass she was able to turn her husband from his sins and took tender care of him through his last illness. She was a wonderful model of kindness toward the poor and a successful peacemaker between members of her own family and between nations.The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper.
